Moving Kinship®: Japan

 

 

In July 2019 Beatrice Allegranti was hosted my the Japanese Director’s Association with the Japanese Ministry of Culture to deliver a series of professional development workshops, lectures and a keynote for dance, theatre and performance artists as well as mental health professionals working with socially engaged practice. Beatrice was accompanied by Takeshi Matsumoto, dance artist dance movement psychotherapist, and translator and collaborated with illustrator Neil May Emmanuel in to deliver the cross-disciplinary workshops. The workshops introduced Japanese artists to Beatrice’s interdisciplinary embodied and choreographic practices including the Embodied Performances and Moving Kinship® methodologies.
