Performance & Film

“Beatrice Allegranti’s work is aesthetically complex…emotionally and intellectually engaging”Henriette Thune, Feminist Review for Becoming Bodies.
Beatrice Allegranti has experience of UK and international film, dance, choreography and installation projects spanning over two decades. Influenced by her clinical experience in dance movement psychotherapy, her artistic work emphasises the multi layered, socio-political aspects of everyday life, movement and language. Beatrice’s foreground concern is the impact of racism, sexism, ableism, xenophobia, homophobia and trauma therein and the development of embodied ways of finding progressive, accessible, artistic and accountable antidotes.
Beatrice’s practice is marked by extensive collaboration with artists and scientists and her work has been shown in a variety of public venues that range from traditional theatres to art galleries, university lecture theatres, science venues and hospitals. Listed below are works from the beginning of this century.
